The
RX 'Albatross' is definitely my
favourite of all the R9 variants in
R-Type Delta - mainly because of the
fact that it has a roving 'homing'
Force unit which is highly effective.
The surface of the RX is finished
with a mirror coating as one of the
countermeasures against optical
weapons.
Weapon
Charge: Burst Shock Wave Cannon
Generates energy inside of the enemy
to cause fatal damage to it.
Force
Unit: Tentacle Force This Force reminds me a lot of X-Multiply..
Has a homing guidance system which locks
onto
enemy targets firing in synch with the
players ship.
Delta
Weapon: Negative Colidar! Generates a distortion in time
and space to cause serious damage to
enemies. A bit like Darius Gaiden's Black
Hole bombs.. but with an awesome
screen-filling polygon-warping/shimmering
effect to go with it.. (Remember the
water effects in 'The Abyss' - it reminds
of this) My fave of the Delta Weapons by
a long shot..
SECRET
'SHIP'! Ever want to play as the
'POW'-Armour from the original R-type?
Well you can in R-Type Delta if you can
figure out how to get the secret 'ship'
in the game..
