The
R9a 'Delta' is basically an upgraded
version of the R9 fighter first seen
in the original R-Type in 1987. The
ship is equipped with a new diffuse
shockwave cannon which can
concentrate and disperse energy using
a special catalyser, as well as the
same shock wave cannon as that of the
older R9 mass-production model.

Releases charged energy straight in
front of the fighter, with powerful
force.
Force
Unit: Standard Force Highly reliable module with a
lot of combat data gathered from use in
previous missions (!). When detached from
the fighter, the FORCE can shoot lasers
in up to four directions
Delta
Weapon: Nuclear Catastrophe! Brings molecules existing around
the fighter into nuclear fusion, causing
extreme damage to the enemy. Basically a
huge Atomic fireball of screen filling
proportions.. BOOM!
