Level
5 is an upwardly scrolling level. Keep an
eye out for enemy fire whilst platform
hopping, and shoot anything that moves.
And, heck, shoot anything that doesn't
move too!

The Level 5 boss is
an escapee from the cover of a
Metallica album. Shoot upwards to
take it out, while dodging its
skeletal projectiles. Just don't
start singing "Enter
Sandman" - the boss actually
hates Metallica...Drives him mad,
apparently...

:Level 6 shows you
the Red Falcon's interior design
skills. "Oh, Red Falcon...I
love what you've done with the
curtains in here, darrling!"

Level 6's boss hasn't had a date
in 20 years... I wonder why...

RRRGH! He took
offence to the last caption! Run
for the hills! (And wonder why
that flying snake that enjoys
circling you somehow reminds you
of
Level 2's boss in R-Type...)

Level 7 forces
you to enter the innards of the
Red Falcon. "HAVE AT YOU,
PURPLE BLANCMANGE!"

Level 7's boss
appears to be the grim reaper
himself. Or possibly Calista
Flockhart in an early role, I'm
not sure...Watch out for the acid
it oozes. It hurts...

Either I'm
on a hallucinogenic drug,
or Level 8
is revolting. Take out
the mouths spitting
fire from the walls if
they annoy you...it
makes things easier.

Reach the
end of Level 8, and the
Red Falcon reveals
itself. I thought the Red
Falcon was male following
playing through Contra,
but now I'm not too
sure...At any rate, blow
the living ooze outta it!
Get in close, and shoot
up at its face
diagonally. Just make
sure you avoid the
projectiles it flings,
too...

"Die alien scum!
DIE!!! HA HA HA!!!" Sorry...I'm
a sadistic sod. The Red
Falcon goe up in flames,
and I begin singing a
certain Queen song...

"Another
one bites the dust...Hey!
Another one bites the
dust...Hey hey!!!"

And so ends
Super C. If you can make
it this far, give
yourself a pat on the
back. It takes a truly
skilled gamer to beat a
Contra game!
