The BRITISH ACADEMY of COMPOSERS & SONGWRITERS has announced its endorsement of a new bursary fund created by Alan Hawkshaw together with Leeds College of Music.

PRESS RELEASE details from Leeds College of Music:

In partnership with The Alan Hawkshaw Foundation, We are making awards to support students who will study full time at LCM for the following principal study instruments: Trombone. Oboe . Tuba . Double Bass . Bassoon. Piano and French Horn.

The £1,500 annual scholarship will be awarded throughout the three year programme of study. Scholarships will be provisionally awarded upon receiving an offer through the UCAS application procedure and will be confirmed once enrolment has commenced.

Students are to submit a personal statement to the LCM HE Admissions Team alongside the normal UCAS application procedure.
