LATEST SETS (All files are included, unless stated otherwise)

Haven Mapset Made by members of the Wolf3D Haven Forum. There are 4 extensive levels. The 4th is a boss level and there is no secret level. Jayngo, Valts and Schabbs contributed. Text file included. Needs the full version of Wolf3D to play.

Ghosts: A Doll's House Made by Paal Olstad. The 16 levels are well designed and decorated and many were made by others. All graphics, sounds and music have been changed and while it retains the Wolf3D feel somewhat, the mod also has an atmosphere of its own. New music was contributed by Tricob. Code changes include a missile launcher, Plasma gun and breakable objects. As with 'A Doll's House', Paal's last mod, the game requires a lot of thought to play.

Kill Him - Good Old Days 5 well made levels of a fair size. There's a mix of original and changed graphics and as the title suggests, the original Wolf3D feel is retained well. Code changes include increased ammo/health limits, reduced boss strengths, bosses don't drop keys and deathcams removed. Made by PicNic.

The Spear Of Toti 21 levels and each one has a different type of scenario, some are set outdoors while others are set indoors. The changed graphics, sounds and music fit well together and though the Spear feel is retained, the mod has a feel of its own too. Source code changes include textured floors/ceilings, weather effects, animated objects, an extra weapon and a rocker launcher. By Toti.

Planet Nexion 5 extensive and well made levels and virtually all graphics and sounds have been changed. As the title suggests, the mod is set in the future and has sci-fi scenarios. Code changes include Directional Sprites, Outside Atmosphere and Helpart. By Nexion.

Absence The 18 seamless levels are well made and cover a wide range of scenarios. Virtually all graphics and sounds have been changed. There are many complex code changes like buying implants to improve weapon strength, switching to emergency power, passwords, diaries, shock barriers and exploding barrels. The log disc feature is very impressive too and helps to create more of an 'action role-playing' game rather than a straight shooter game. It all blends together very well. By Havoc.

The Hunt For Von Hauer 5 extensive and well made levels and although there are some graphics changes and customized floor/ceiling colours the mod keeps the original Wolf3D feel. There is a text file included. By serpens. Needs the audio files from the registered Wolf3D game to play.

The Lost World Part 1: The Dark Orthodox 20 consecutive levels that are quite extensive and well made. Three of the levels were made by Valts. Stopandthink_stein A 19 level set by Brian Kory. As the title suggests, this is not a basic shoot 'em up mod, but a series of puzzles and it requires a lot of thought to complete each level. It uses John Bucksnort's Istanbul mod as a base and most of the graphics from that are retained. A hint file is included.

Boesenstein 9 new levels from Vincent that are extensive and well designed and decorated. Most of the graphics and sounds have been changed, some from other mods like Halloween, Christmas Wolf, Lost Episodes etc, and some were made by Vincent. The lightly dressed SS from Hotel Romanstein is also used. The resulting mix keeps the Wolf3D feel intact somewhat but also gives the mod an atmosphere and theme of its own.

It allows the music to be played on Windows XP. Vista compatible.

Otto's Trial 10 levels (the first episode) though some are not original. There are also some graphics, sounds and code changes but the original feel of the game is still there. By Joe M.

Spear Resurrection Master Levels These levels were made by Little Cherub as a challenge game for people who loved the great 'Spear Resurrection' game. The maps pack replaces the first 5 levels in that game and is a tribute to Areyep and MCS for their great add-ons. The levels are not as large as in the original though they are quite detailed. Requires Spear Resurrection to play.

Project Ewiger Verwustung 13 levels here and they are well designed and decorated though some are not that large. Many changed graphics and sounds. By Sandy.

Coldfusion! 30 levels here, mostly quite extensive, though a couple are not original. Lots of new graphics and sounds. By Little Cherub.

The Twilight Zone 21 quite extensive levels, though a few are not that original. Lots of new graphics and sounds. Credit goes to Paal Olstad for allowing use of 'The Tower' source code and to Majik Monkee for some images from his 'Image World' site. By Joe M. Requires 'audiohed' file from the full version of Spear.

The Night After Christmas Specially released for the festive season by Ringman. It's only one level, but it's quite a large detailed one with 5 distinct sections. Images come from a variety of sources. New music but no new sounds.

Blake And The Spear and Get Goldfire Contains graphics and sounds from Blake Stone. Each set has 21 mostly extensive and well detailed levels though some are not original. Text file included. By Joe M. Both require the full version of Spear to play.

The Secret Of The Waffen-SS The 6 levels are well made though they are not that large. There's lots of imported graphics and sounds, but the original Wolfenstein 'feel' remains. Shareware version made by Sandy.

Dead World Rising 20 well made levels, plus lots of Doom graphics and sounds. Has a good Doom type atmosphere, and the readthis is particularly well done. Uses the TFS source code as a base. By Great Wasabi.

Project Waffen Sicherheitsdienst This set by Sandy serves as a homage to Wolf Skevos-Jones and features many of his graphics and sounds. The 13 levels are mostly larger than in Sandy's earlier sets though of a similar standard. The sequels Project Waffen Sicherheitsdienst 2 and Project Waffen Sicherheitdienst 3 also have 13 levels.

Doomenstein Revisited Has Doom graphics and sounds, some from other addons like Bruce Ryder's 'Doomenstein', and some that are new. There are 20 levels (first 2 episodes), though some of them are not completely new. It all blends together quite nicely and has a good Doom atmosphere. Text file included. By Joe M. Batman: Wrath Of Mr. Freeze A sequel to Ian Skevos-Jones' first 'Batman' TC. There are 25 good seamless levels and some new features, including 3 new weapons, 2 new keys, armor, and ambient sounds. The helpart is very detailed. It all blends together well.

Secrets Of The Grauburg Dungeons Made for shareware. Ten well designed levels and most graphics have been changed. The predominantly grey colouring looks good, and the original 'feel' of the game still remains. There's a well written manual included in the zip. By Kuki.

Kehlsteinhaus Thirty high quality seamless levels here, plus many graphics, sounds and code changes. There's good use of the guards, it's well decorated and the 'read this' is particularly well done. By ToMeanToDie. Zip updated June 10 - end game bug fixed. Maps only update for bug fix here.

Sport Woooolf Each of the first 5 episodes has either 2 or 3 levels. There's a wide range of level designs which on the whole are pretty good. There are a number of graphics and sounds changes, but the atmosphere of the original game remains. By Agnieszka.

Beyond Mutantstein Special Edition A 'Tribute To John Bucksnort' by various authors. There are 21 straight seamless levels, plus lots of graphics, sounds and source code changes. I feel it's an excellent set - one that John would have been proud of - and it serves very well as a tribute to the 'mutant maker'.

Escape From Totenhaus Another Mac conversion from Laz Rojas. Originally released on the Mac in 1996, it's now available for PC users. There's 10 very good levels (first episode) and a lot of new graphics and sounds. Also available is Halten Sie! Ten straight levels here which are well designed and replace the first episode. There are a number of graphics and sound changes but the original 'feel' of Wolf3D remains. Both sets need the full version of Wolf3D to play.

The Thing Six well designed levels and a large number of graphics, sounds and source code changes. The title screen is totally revamped. Set in Antarctica, the images are quite effective. Watch out for those nasty spiders!! By Wes Desjardins.
