It is with sadness in my heart that I write the following. It is never
easy when someone that means a lot to you is lost, and when that loss
is forever the pain can never be expected to go away. It's strange to
think that a month ago I hardly knew her at all, but over that month
we spent many nights talking about life and how we had both found it,
She visited my web page and read my poetry, and we spent hours talking
about that, she even asked me if she could use some of it, to which I
of course agreed, I felt proud that my work had meant something to
someone in some way. But now she is gone and I still can't really
believe it. But at least she had found life and understood what it meant,
there are far to few people that really ever understand. She lived
more and meant more to the world in a short time than some people can do
given all of the time in the world. But I shall try not to get caught
up in my own sadness because she wouldn't have wanted any of us to do that.
Instead I shall be glad that I was lucky enough to have known her, and I
will remember her always......

In memory of Kimberly Dorr

"Nothing's forgotten,
Nothing's ever forgotten."

You always told me how much you liked my poetry, so these are for you.
I have never found anything harder to write.

Regret,
Overriding and overwhelming,
The thought of songs unsung,
And words unheard.

And as I look back I realise,
There was more to this than just a passing moment,
You saw the fire in the dragon's eyes,
You ran through those timeless and ancient starlit meadows.

And now it breaks my heart to write these words,
But write them I will for you,
Your memory will be with me forever,
And my friendship shall be with you.

Sadness fills my being,
A silent, lonely, tear I cry,
For the world is a little darker,
Where once happy voices rang,
Now the cold November rain is falling.
But still I lift my face towards the sky,
And I call out with voice so pure and clear,
Nothing shall be forgotten,
The memories will forever shine unfettered,
And no silence shall be allowed to dwell,
Here amongst the trees so golden,
Respledent in their autumn hue.
