L' Armée Territoriale de Tirane 6e Corps 6e Corps and 7e Corps are the main French defence forces protecting Nouvelle Provance, although in times of crisis they will be reinforced by the Militia units of the Défence Operationelle du Territoire (DOT or Territorial Defence Forces). The Corps are largely manned by Metropolitan Army units recruited on Tirane, although a few Earth recruited units are present. They are also more or less identically organised. They consist of 7 Divisions of troops, more than Corps in other nations Armies, but as French Divisions are somewhat smaller than those of other nations overall manpower and combat power is not totally dissimilar. 4e Division Blindée The 4e DB is a heavy armoured division equipped with ground tanks and helicopter gunships. It is primarily designed for defence and deliberate attack missions, opening the way for accompanying Division's de la Marche to attack into the enemy's rear areas. A DB has a recce regiment, two ground tank regiments, two infantry battalions, a gunship regiment and a combat walker CW battalion. It is supported by two artillery and an engineer regiment, it is commanded by a Command and Logistics group. It is normal practise for the unit to fight in two 'Demi-Brigades', sometimes known as a 'Groupement Mobile'. The DB is equipped with CC-21 tanks, ABE-84 recce vehicles and the new AVCI-4 'Vandamme' infantry fighting vehicle.
6e Division de la Marche The 6e DM follows the typical French organisational structure for a Division de la Marche. The DM has grown out of French experience in the Central Asian War, and reflects the need for highly mobile and controllable strike forces. The DM name was chosen to reflect a new 'fluid' style of command and control, a move away from the rigid tactics that had proven so costly in the CAW. The DM system had just been introduced in time for the War of German Reunification and these units played an important part in stopping the German Army on the Somme after the Germans flanked the main French position on the Rhine. One feature of the DM which distinguishes it from other nations Armoured formations is the lack of integral gunship support. During the CAW French hover units outstripped their gunships in the mobile warfare that characterised the last stages of that war. The extra logistics required to support the gunships also slowed the divisions operational mobility. The DM, like the DB normally fights in pairs of integrated infantry and cavalry units normally described as Demi-Brigades or GM's. The DM's of the Armée de Tirane have finished re-equipping with the AC-12 hovertanks and ACVI-4 IFV.(1 recce, 3 armoured, 3 infantry, 2 artillery, 1 engineer)
8e Division de la Marche
1e Division Aeromobile French Divisions Aeromobile are attached to Corps to provide gunship support to the front-line DM's. They take on reconnaissance, screening and direct support missions. They also include a single light infantry battalion which is heavily equipped with man-portable anti-tank weaponry. This battalion is designed to either be inserted behind enemy lines to interdict supply lines or to plug gaps in French lines. However these battalions proved too lightly equipped during the War of German Reunification when several were overrun and annihilated attempting to destroy German forces along the line of the Meuse. The DAM has three gunship regiments and one transport tilt-rotor regiment in addition to the light infantry unit. However it is widely believed that their organisation will be substantially overhauled in coming years. The success or otherwise of the experimental I Régiment Etranger d' Aero-Infantrie in fighting on Aurore might well provide a template for further reform.
201e Division d' Infanterie Division's d' Infanterie in the Armée de Tirane are different from those in the Metropolitan Army on Earth as they are regular infantry formations and not manned by conscripts. They are trained for defensive operations and for missions in urban and forest environments. Mobility is provided by lightly armoured wheeled vehicles. The DI has a recce regiment, a CW battalion, five infantry battalions and a gunship regiment. Support comes from two artillery regiments and an engineer regiment. The DI units generally operate in two Brigades.
203e Division d' Infanterie .
204e Division Légère d' Infanterie 204e DLI is organised identically to a conventional DI within the Armée de Tirane. The difference is that its units are trained in fighting in hostile environments. The DLI specialise in Mountain and Jungle warfare. There vehicles are generally un-armoured and the battalions will normally operate exclusively in the dismounted role.

202e Division d' Infanterie This unit served on Earth during the War of German Reunification where it was one of the few units to enter German territory when it took part in the abortive attack on Frankfurt.

8e Corps (Force d' Action Rapide de Tirane) The 8e Corps contains the Armée de Tirane's rapid reaction and intervention forces. Formerly known as the Force d' Action Rapide de Tirane, all the forces component units are air-portable and gives the French commander a large range of options. 8e Corps units are drawn from Earth and Tirane 2e Division Légère Blindée The 2e DLB is on the cutting edge of current French tactical thinking about the deployment of light armoured forces. Following the debacles in Elysia 2e DLB has been experimenting with new concepts and has recently become ready for deployment. Using the new ACL-7 tanks the force is set-up for rapid armoured interventions off-Tirane, but can deploy on Tirane if required. The Division is intended for rapid air-deployments enabling large armoured formations to be swiftly deployed in the event of any crisis. This division contains the Foreign Legion's elite 1e REC, which still contains many soldiers of Russian backgrounds with CAW experience. The units usually fight in ad-hoc 'Demi-Brigades' of one armoured and one infantry unit, with units interchanging units down to platoon level. As the DLB is composed of pairs of units from the Legion, French Africa and Nouvelle Provance it is normal for the demi-brigades to be made up of those pairs . (1 recce bn, 3 light armoured bn, 3 armoured inf bn, 2 art bn, 1 command & log)
2e Division d' Infanterie Marine The 2e DIM was created from those Colonial Units raised on Nouvelle Provance and trained for intervention away from the French colony. It is a light armoured force equipped mostly with wheeled vehicles of the ABR-76 family. Trained for long duration, fairly low intensity conflicts, elements of the 2e DIM saw service on Elysia. (1 armd, 3 inf, 1 art, 1 eng, 1 gunship, 1 comm and log)
20e Division Parachutiste The 20e DP is the theatre commander's infantry heavy reaction force. It has a light armoured bn, four light infantry battalions, two combat walker battalions and one gunship regiment and a regiment of artillery. In addition to the usual support assets. The 20e DP usually consists of units from Earth and from Tirane and operates in two brigades of two infantry and one CW bn with the light armoured unit being attached where needed.
