NATIONAL SPRING CLEAN 3 events to celebrate 'Keep Scotland Beautiful Spring Clean' campaign. This is your chance to think globally, act locally and do your bit for the environment. Move a mountain of junk and help remove litter which can be lethal to wildlife and familypets. Gloves and bags are provided. Sunday, 16th April 2000, FINDHORN Meet at 2 pm outside the Village Hall in Findhorn at the very end of the B9011 to collect the flotsam, jetsam and junk from the bayside and backshore. Help to keep Findhorn Bay Local Nature Reserve as beautiful as it deserves to be. Lasts 2 hours. Saturday, 22nd April 2000, LOSSIEMOUTH Meet outside the Beach Bar at the end of Kimberley Street, Lossiemouth at 10.30 am to collect the rubbish accumulating on the shoreline between the harbour and the rubble of the old lead mine next to the West Beach car park. Lasts 2 hours Saturday, 29th April 2000, STRATHLENE Meet at 2 pm in the shoreside car park below the glof club car park and adjoining a derelict open air swimming pool. Come and collect the litter from the beach and the open stretch of the Strathlene to Findochty footpath. Pull junk from the bankside shrubs - a great chance to beautify an attractive area of coastline at the edge of town. Last for 2 hours. |
