The Old Rectory in Rodmarton The House - one of the oldest in the village dating from approximately 1550 and is listed Grade 11 being of architectural and historical interest. The main staircase and one of the windows (in the dining room) are specifically mentioned in the classification. In 1872 an addition was made to the house, increasing its size by about 50%. The house was occupied by the Rectors of Rodmarton until 1967 when it was sold by the Church Commissioners. The present owners have lived in the house for more than 20 years, have made it the family home and are very much involved in local community activities.

Rodmarton Village - Fewer than 100 inhabitants makes Rodmarton a small village, perhaps more of a hamlet. Mentioned in The Domesday Book, there is a 12c Church, and until recent times the Village was owned entirely by the Estate in the centre of which it lies. On the edge of the village is an important Roman and prehistoric site which is administered by English Heritage - The Long Barrow on Windmill Tump.
