MC-80a Chatnoir-class Calamari Cruiser

This OPT was originally intended as a replacement for the normal "baby Home-One" model of MC-80a, though mainly as a test of the higher facecounts I had realised were possible.

It has been revised and been reduced in facecount by approximately 400 faces as well as having the hangars corrected to have sloping rather than perpendicular walls and to include self-illumination.

This OPTs role as a replacement has been taken over by the Reef-Home class MC-80 (part of the XWA Upgrade project) and so it is mainly intended now as a additional ship using the statistics included below (which are improved to reflect that this is a MC-80a rather than a MC-80).

If you do decide to use this OPT as a replacement for the CRS though then simply rename the OPT to CALAMARICRUISERNEW.OPT and copy to the XWA Flightmodels directory. Please note though that this OPT is a good six or seven times higher in facecount than the TG OPT and for this reason if you have a relatively low end PC (like mine) I would recommend that you use the TG OPT if you want to have several Calamari Cruisers in a mission at a time.

And possibly use improved (like the ISDs) weapons settings for link, sequence & range to increase the firepower slightly. Tweaking those settings is not something I know much about though.

And it is "Chatnoir class" simply because that's what I called my CRS in the SFA, so that's what I thought of it as being ("A CRS like the Chatnoir"), and so when prompted for a class name at Datamasters that was what I replied.
