A CONDENSED WEEK IN CATALONIA, SEPTEMBER 2004

We spent a week in Catalonia, as part of an organised tour, in late September 2004. Flights, hotels and internal transport were paid for upfront; what we actually did in the towns we visited was up to us. As is our wont, we crammed in as much history and architecture as we could, telling ourselves at the end that we'd certainly have to return to Barcelona at some point, to see all the bits we hadn't been able to fit in on this occasion (having told ourselves at the outset that in view of the limited time available we'd focus our efforts on the Barri Gotic and Gaudi and his colleagues of the architectural style known as L'Eixample -- and did them fairly thoroughly).

Because we visited a number of different places, and because there are a lot of photographs, this part of the website has been split into five subsidiary pages -- as follows:

Barcelona
Girona
Pujada Sant Feliu
Montblanc
Walled Medieval Village
Montserrat
Distant View of Montserrat Peaks
Tarragona
