All Creon says about the punishment for burying Polyneices is that it is "death". Earlier, though, Antigone had told Ismene that it would be death by public stoning. But although Creon has had the body guarded, he's worried his guards might be vulnerable to bribery. But the Chorus are certain that fear of death will be a suitable deterrent.
