The lights dim
And I watch you, fascinated.
Your voice is just for me.
Every word, so beautifully sung,
Reaches out and touches me.
The music enters my body,
Vibrates in my very soul.
You're my hero.
I'm your girl.
No-one else.
Just you and me.
 

The applause brings me back to earth.
The lights return
And reality claims it's place one more
But the magic lingers on
It's enough to take me a little further
On this journey through life
