Whilst the outside of the blocks looks excellent, it is the interior we have to live with. The independently controlled central heating/hot water supply, with mains water pressure allowing the use of showers for the first time is much cheaper than the 'district' heating of the past. The new kitchens and bathrooms; the additional power points and double glazing; all this has made life more comfortable.
