Tat it and See - Jane's second one!!!

Richard - the mascot!!!  He didn't want to be left out!!!

For those who are new to this idea - let me explain.
I am going to release a pattern in small 'bite size' pieces every few days.  The tatter will not know what they are making until it becomes obvious!  In this (the third Tat It And See) I am trying to cover techniques and ideas and show the way I do certain things.  These are not necessarily the BEST or the RIGHT way to do them!!!  Just the way I get by in 'tat land'.  I feel that relative new tatters will be able to manage this pattern as long as they are comfortable with split rings (there are rather a lot of them!).  If anybody gets 'stuck' just email me and I'll do my best to talk you through the problem.

Each day I will cover any new techniques which may be new to the tatter.  I assume that everybody will know how to do split rings but if not, here's a link.

You will need a 1/2" four holed button, three shuttles (you only use two at once!) and three colours in number 20 thread.  They should be two bright colours and one neutral or natural!!  Oh and approximately 75 seed beads with two slightly larger ones.

Beads WILL be used but there are only 6 in total at any one point loaded onto one shuttle.  This is an opportunity for people who have never used beads to 'have a go'!!

I will also be using italics and red text to indicate where those who prefer to tat 'front side, back side' need to start with the second half of the ds first.  This does not apply to the second half of a SR!  There are only a few occasions where this will be used so again this might be a good time to 'give it a whirl'.

All finished pieces will be uploaded to this blogOn completion a bonus will be sent to you!!!!

Finally - the start date.  Saturday 17th May!!!  Let the fun begin!!!!
