Beaded Center Split Ring

Figure 1:  With shuttle 2 (red thread in illustration) fold thread in half and push         bead onto the folded thread.

Figure 2:  Drop shuttle 1 through the loop made by the shuttle 2 thread.

Figure 3:  Bring shuttle 1 around hand to begin making a split ring. Make sure that you pass shuttle 1 under the base of the shuttle 2 thread.

Figure 4:  Work the first half of the split ring as normal.

Figure 5:  Pull the shuttle 2 thread until the bead is tight against the last ring. Make sure that you do not pull hard enough to cause the core thread to pull into the bead. Work the second half of the split ring as normal.

Figure 6:  Pull shuttle 1 thread to close the split ring as usual. Bead will now be nestled in the center of the split ring.
