The Classic Bike Show in April is always a busy show. This year was no execption. This year we had the added bonus of glorious weather: the sun took its hat off and shone. This resulted in perhaps the busiest show I have ever seen. We had been allocated a stand in the Angle Hall, the pitch being 22ft × 10ft. We had 13 bikes on the stand: 7 autocycles, 4 mopeds & 2 cyclemotors. The bikes were all placed on the stand - although they were a little crammed, they looked good. The whole stand was covered in artificial grass; we placed 2 bay trees at each end, 2 flower arrangements & 6 small conifers - the stand looked good. We signed up 5 new members and sold quite a bit of regalia. The climax of the weekend was having Graham Langler's NSU Quick 50 taking third place in the post-war prior to 1965 class. Well done Graham! Other award winners were John Howson with his Sun autocycle, Les Gobbett who took a highly commended. All in all we had a good time. A big thank you to all those who bought their bikes along to the show and all those who helped man the stand, set up & set down. Well done guys & gals.
