Ray Phillips

With much sadness, I report that Ray Phillips has taken his last long ride to Mopedland.  Being isolated on the Isle of Wight made it difficult to attend mainland events, but he remained enthusiastc in his restorations.  He was an established member when I joined the club and was one of the first contacts I made, travelling down to meet him several times, and remaining in regular contact over many years.  He decided it was time to hand on his Phillips Marque Enthusiast post in 2002 as his ailments developed.  Always cheerful, Ray was a great encouragement in my early writings for Buzzing, and supported with keen interest as the articles developed into the ongoing series.  Goodbye old friend.
