Ideally suited to Industrial and retail applications, Firetex fire shutters have a smoke check system at the head, alleviating the need for a hood and resulting in excellent installation flexibility. The industrial unit uses a traditional galvanised scroll lath curtain which can be powder coated if required. Shutters can be operated manually through a pull cord for closing and handchain for closing/resetting or automatically through a controlled descent motor. This design provides fire resistance for up to 4 hours for openings up to 7m wide.
Kaba Henderson-Bostwick is fully accredited for the manufacture, installation and testing of fire doors to BS476 part 22 via the LPCB. Full installation and testing certification is provided by our own site engineers along with monitored maintenance programmes to assist compliance with the Fire Protection Act 1997.
The Firegard Control System allows local and zonal control or full integration with management systems. Two stage closing for smoke containment and easy testing are further features of the system which is also designed to cope well with false alarms. Standard activation systems such as thermal link and solenoid are also within the range. |
