Link from The North Wales Coast Railway Noticeboard Steam at Eaton Hall, 9 August - Gallery from this event to follow shortly! Eaton Hall, seat of the Duke of Westminster and home of Sir Arthur Heywood's historic 'minimum gauge' railway which is not normally open to the public, is holding an Open Day on Saturday 9 August 2008 from noon to 5:00pm. Three engines will be in steam, with resident Katie joined by visitors Synolda from the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway and Red Dragon from the Windmill Farm Railway. Visitors re-live the historic Bassett-Lowke engine trials - Eaton 1905. The Carriage Museum, Family History Room and Eaton Chapel will also be open to visitors. Admission: Adults £10.00 Children £5.00. Proceeds to Llangollen Railway Trust and the Eskdale (Cumbria) Trust.
