The challenge of managing remote computing grows with each passing day as the number of executives and field staff demanding connectivity anytime, anyplace explodes. Citrix Systems endeavours to tame this beast with Winframe for Networks, a solution it sees as a "toolbox, not just a hammer, for solving complex enterprise remote computing problems."
The product's concept of "local-remote transparency" allows mobile professionals and telecommuters to dial into and access groupware and corporate applications with optimal performance and convenience. Users can launch multiple DOS and Windows applications - running locally and remotely - and probably will never notice where those applications are executing or the source of associated data files.

WYSE Terminals

Wyse have been producing Dumb terminals since what seems to be the beginning of the computer age. Now they are carrying on their work and producing Thin Client for today's networking needs.
Thin Clients are terminals that link directly to the network and have the same operation as a desktop PC connected to the network, running desktop applications exactly the same only straight from the server. This means that all applications are loaded on to the server and emulated onto the Wyse terminal which requires only a power cable, network cable and a little room.
The idea of Thin Clients is becoming more popular as a effective solution to networking and cash flow problems as all work needed to be done to the system is done on the server and has very little need to disrupt the user at the other end.
We sell a wide range of terminals Wyse and others so please drop in to see what's on offer.
