You've passed your driving test.
Now you're ready for Pass Plus, the intensive course that will help you become a better driver and get a discount on your insurance.
As a new driver, you are more likely to have an accident in the first year after passing your test than at any other time in your motoring career.
Per mile of driving, the risk of an accident involving injury or death is
about 6 times greater for 17-20 years old than for those aged 40 or over.
Lack of experience means that you can be as much as TWO SECONDS slower than a more practised motorist in recognising danger - and that could be the two seconds difference between life and death.
Drivers under 21 are involved in 15% of all accident deaths.
Young new drivers are especially vulnerable. They hold only 10% of licences, but are involved in 20% of road accidents in which someone is injured.
That's where Pass Plus comes in.

Your Pass Plus instructor has a list of companies taking part in the scheme and you should contact the insurers to find which is the best offer for your circumstances.
Any driving instructor on the Driving Standards Agency approved register can enrol to teach Pass Plus. If your own instructor cannot help, look in the telephone directory or for adverts in your local paper.
