Double Breasted is a new fanzine for Mod and 60's inspired cool and is launching at The Glasgow Mod Weekender, 26th - 29th June. At the moment it will be published bi-annually (next issue December-June), but the hope is it will eventually be a quarterly publication. Co-Editors are Sharon Armit and Jennie Baillie. Sharon has been on the scene for 25 years, with 9 of those being spent in Italy. Jennie, along with husband Colin, is part of the Glasgow Friday Street team. Retailing for £1 the fanzine will be on sale at the Weekender and thereafter mail order. Although the fanzine focuses on the Scottish scene; UK and European events are listed in the diary and articles are welcomed from anyone. Weak At The Knees is on at Basura Bianca, Basement Club, Brunswick Hotel, Glasgow and featuring 70s and 80s funk, boogie, jazzfunk and soul for the "mature" crowd. The club has been running in London for 10 years, hosted by DJ Perry Louis who is also a regular DJ at London's Jazz Cafe. He will be joined in Glasgow by a rotating rota of top DJs.
