Soul View, David Miller’s Edinburgh-based magazine, celebrates 30 years of covering the soul scene in Scotland and beyond with a special edition. Deadline for payment and contributions is January 30 - each issue is £10 (that includes £4 P&P), and every £10 that comes in will go straight out to a designated mental health charity. Contributors need only cover the postage. The magazine will be no less than 60 full colour pages with articles including DJ profiles, quizzes, vinyl reviews, Dundee Soul Club 25th anniversary, auction results, a tribute to Fraser Dunn, memories of the 100 Club, Prestatyn and the Web, plus much more. The night is headed up by Ronnie Cowan whose DJ history goes way back to the East of Scotland Soul Club at The Grosvenor in Edinburgh. George Reid of Edinburgh presents Disco Evolution on Thelma FM which is part of Edinburgh-based charity' The Living Memory , which raises awareness of dementia.
