Julian was born in India, the second child and elder daughter of Berners. She married Jim Court in Rockhampton, Quuensland in 1959. They have two married daughters, Elizabeth and Judy. They now live in Taupo, North Island NZ. This photo was taken there in February 2005 at a gathering of the Hall-Matthews' clan in celebration of her 70th birthday :
