Labourer's Cottage

This is a "one up, one down" thatched cottage, typically occupied by a farm labourer and his family. Here you will meet women performing their daily tasks whilst taking care of their children.
These tasks include:

• cooking (using the open fire and bread oven)
• spinning wool, using drop spindles.
• sewing and mending.

There will also be a number of small children - note that small boys wear skirts up to the age of about 5.
