Sally Pryce was a scholar at the Royal College of Music, London, and at the Purcell School, studying with Daphne Boden. During her four years at the R.C.M. she won the Manilow, Marie Goosens, Morrison and the Elizabeth Coates prizes. She graduated this year with First Class Honours and was awarded the coveted Worshipful Company of Musicians’ Silver Medal for outstanding musicianship.

Sally has given many solo recitals around Britain, including the Purcell Room, St. James’s Piccadilly, St. Martin’s in the Field, Wimborne Minster and at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. She has performed the harp concertos by Ginastera and Handel, the Mozart flute and harp concerto and the Debussy ‘Danses’ at various venues around Britain, including St. John’s Smith Square and Southwark Cathedral. In 1998 Sally was invited to play for the International Society at a concert in Tokyo, in the presence of HRH Prince Edward. She has appeared on British and Norwegian television and British and American radio.
She was selected as a British representative to perform at the 6th and 7th World Harp Congresses in Seattle, ’96, and in Prague, ’99. In October 1997, Sally was invited to play for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Edinburgh, hosted by Tony Blair, and in the presence of the Prime Ministers and Presidents of all the Commonwealth countries.

She was a National Finalist in the BBC Young Musicians’ ’96 competition and was twice a string finalist in the Royal Over-Seas League competition in which she won the ‘Marisa Robles Harp prize’.
In January 1998, Sally reached the final six of the 13th International Harp Contest in Israel, and won the London Harp Competition in 1999. She has won the concerto trials at the R.C.M. twice, and as a result played the Ginastera harp concerto with the R.C.M. Sinfonietta in 1999, and the Debussy ‘Danses’ with R.C.M. Symphony Orchestra with Janos Fürst earlier this year.

Recently, Sally has been recording for a solo harp music CD in Los Angeles. She also works as an orchestral free-lance player around the UK for many professional orchestras.

Sally plays regularly for receptions, corporate functions and weddings all over Britain. Examples of these are at Buckingham palace, Kensington Palace, St. James’s Palace, Blenheim Palace, Drapers Hall, London, Royal Society of Medicine, Pembroke Lodge, Aspreys, Hogarth House, Kenwood House, Pinewood Studios and many private establishments and hotels.
