| At last, the powers that be have given Bob his own TV variety show, rather creatively called The Bob Downe Show. It is being broadcast Sundays at 7.30pm on TV1. A mix of interviews, comedy, chat and of course song-and-dance routines, the venue for the series is none other than Bob's favourite haunt, the Classy Lady Bar & Grill. Many a night Bob would entertain the customers, whether they wanted him to or not, and now he's doing it for the whole nation to see. Well, at least those cool enough to have Foxtel. And if you don't have cable TV already, now you have an excuse. |
| In addition to the Classy Lady Bar & Grill regulars, Bob wants YOU in his audience too. Contact Bobdowne@tv1.com.au or telephone 97762711 for details. Dress code for the Classy Lady Bar & Grill is restricted to Polyester with Safari Suits and Hush Puppies welcome. |

| As the name suggests, The Classy Lady Bar & Grill is Murwillumbah's most stylish nite club. Paper lanterns line the walls and there's Astro turf shag pile covering the floor, whilst the bar and stools look resplendent in bamboo and green leatherette. Enjoy the ambience and a dry white wine or a diet Sprite in the bar at 5.45pm before the show starts at 6.00pm. The show starts early as the 'Lady' closes at 10... 10.30 tops. If you're lucky enough to sit at the right table and your coaster is picked, you could win a Bob Downe Show T-shirt or a TV1 baseball cap and be the envy of all your friends. |
Anthea, making a fashion statement.
| Making regular appearances on the show is Bob's childhood sweetheart and Good Morning Murwillumbah co-host, Coralee Hollow along with the wacky Cathy Scanlon. Celebs have been pleading to get on Bob's show but one very special guest took a little coaxing. Bob is very close to his mum Ida, Mrs Ida Downe, but he has never managed to ply her away from her job as Owner/Manageress of the Now or Never Caravan Park to appear in any of his shows, until now that is. Like mother, like son, they wore colour co-ordinated outfits and even had matching hair styles! | ||

| The Bob Downe Show has now finished so if you're feeling a bit Downe you need a Happy Face to wear. |
![]() INSTRUCTIONS 1. Cut along dashed line (Print off first. Do NOT cut your computer screen!) 2. Affix lower strap to a stick 3. Parade your Happy Face at the disco. |
| Julianna Bakos & friends wore their Happy Faces to one recording and got to meet the star of the show. I think those fab T-shirts helped get them noticed too.
| Not content with a T-shirt, Julianna even had Bob on her 21st birthday cake. Mmm tasty!
