Welcome to For All The Cows' about thePage!

Dave Grohl!

Dave Grohl grew up in Springfield, Virginia, and whilst in high school, Dave played in many groups. These included:

He later got the chance to join the group Scream, one of his most favorite bands. Dave dropped out of school at the age of 17 to tour full time. He stayed with Scream until the band broke up back in 1990.

In 1990 he joined a band called Nirvana. Whilst with Nirvana, Dave played the Zildjian cymbals and the Tama drums.

Dave remained with Nirvana until the suicide of frontman Kurt Cobain, and at that point, believing he didn’t stand much of a chance of succeeding as a musician, he decided to record all of the songs which he had written (and was denied the opportunity to use), whilst in Nirvana. Within a week or so, he had recorded all of the instruments required for his album (Guitar, drums, vocals, etc.) and they all were merged together to produce the finished song. He asked his friend Greg Dulli to help him out by recording a guitar solo for the album. The album was released under the name Foo Fighters, after all songs had been recorded.

Their new album "The Colour and the Shape" has proved to be an even bigger hit than its predessessor, all across the globe.

Unfortunately, the marriage between Dave and his wife, Jennifer Youngblood, has gone sour, and the two have split up and have filed for a divorce.
