A typical Hollywood adaptation of Stephen Kings novel.

A mis-fit student (Gordon) in a small Californian town purchases, unknown to him, a possessed 1958 red Plymouth Fury.

Gordon gains strength and confidence as the car kills his enemies, but as Gordon becomes progressively more obnoxious, the girl of his dreams (Paul) tries to rescue him by putting the car on the scrap heap.
