The film opens with a couple of teenagers in love being sliced to death by Buddy, the fat son of Slaughterhouse owner Les Bacon. What follows is pure 1980's slasher film fare, but it also contains a decent storyline that isn't present in many films of this genre. To take their revenge on the local authorities for condemning their land, Les and Buddy persuade them to come up to the old slaughterhouse where we witness a number of deaths.
There are some good death scenes, some involving Buddy's machete, others the slaughterhouse machinery. What has to be the best gore scene takes place near the end of the film where Les is chasing after the surviving member of the teenage group. She shoots Les then runs and starts the car, Les crawls along the ground while the girl accelerates the car and runs over Les's head!
The director was obviously influenced by the visual style of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, with a number of animal bones as ornaments inside the home of Les and Buddy.
Overall, the film has fair acting, a decent plot, but is let down by an ending that is a complete cop out.
