Honey
is a very nutritious food made by honey bees and containing
minute quantites of the above.
Vitamins
are complex organic substances that are needed in very small
amounts for many of the process that are carried out in the body.
Usually only a few milligrams or micrograms are needed per day,
but these amounts are needed for the health of the body.The body
does not usually synthesize vitamins these are got from the diet,
however minerals are needed for vitamins to be made available to
the body.
Minerals
cannot be manufactured by the body and so they must be included
in the diet.
Minerals are needed to activate the vitamin intake in the body
Amino Acids
are the building blocks of the body and are the ingredients of
proteins, they form antibodies to combat invading viruses and
bacteria. They are also a part of the enzyme and hormonal system.
They carry oxygen around the body and participate in muscle
activity
Proline
is extremely important for the proper functioning of the joints
and tendons, it also helps to maintain and strengthen heart
muscles.
Lysine (one of the
essential acids) insures the adequate absorption of calcium; it
also helps to form collegen,( which makes up bone cartilage and
connective tissues) it also aids in the production of hormones,
enzymes and antibodies. A deficiency may result in irritability,
tiredness, anemia, retarded growth among other things
.
Proteins
are made up of amino acids
