Magic

Welcome to the world of Magical Madness, a quality act that will be talked about once the show is finished and the lights go on. A magic show with a little bit of everything, including illusions, comedy, white doves & even a white rabbit.
Colourful props to fill a stage & fill you with intrigue

Mind-blowing illusions from a levitation to chopping a girls head off. Large colourful flowers and parasols being plucked from the air and vanishing just as quick, candles & canes come and go all through the show.
Audience participation is always fun and adds to the entertainment value.

Magical Madness started in 1994 with Andy & Nikki working in their hometown of Reading,Berkshire U.K..
Working  in a theme restaurant three or four nights a week, Andy would usually do one to two hours close up, table hopping and then, after the theme entertainment, he would do his 45 minute act. This would consist of general magic, some audience participation and finish off with two illusions.
This would sometimes prove to be a little difficult with the illusions, as the audience was only approx. one metre away and often on the side of the stage .
It did make the applause much greater, and some of the comments were"it was far more deceiving being so close, obviously no camera tricks."

Heads Off

After about 18 months, Andy left the restaurant to work onboard the M.V. Lion Queen. This ship operated in the Baltic sea, between Sweden & Poland. Andy completed a four month cruise which gained him lots of experience and enjoyment of working with an international audience. Andy is currently working on one night shows, but is looking at returning to the cruise ships to work again.

Another night for Andy & Janine, here doing a snowstorm and a large production of flowers and boas to finish. This show was performed in their hometown and for a charity event for Cancer research

First Night Nerves

Andy's first night was probably like most peoples where the easiest of magic was put into the show, but that didn't stop the nerves. "nobody can help you when you're out there, so do your best and you'll enjoy it" -  those words coming from his father before going on stage.
Both these pictures were taken from the first night, on the left the candle vanish into a silk and on the right the chosen card was found courtesy of Dippy Duck

A memorable night at the theme restaurant , this time the evening was of huge importance as all the mayors  and local V.I.P.'s  from the surrounding counties had an annual get-together.
On stage, here in the pictures, is the, then, mayor for Reading helping out with a cut and restored tie. All went well this evening and the mayor, (David Geary), was more than pleased to get his tie back in original condition!

Working Onboard M.V. Lion Queen

Andy worked onboard the Lion Queen for four months doing two shows daily. The shows were in the middle of a production show with dancers and singers.
Magic was always very popular with the passengers as it was something completely different, and again, performed very close to the audience.
After the show had finished, Andy could often be seen  with passengers doing close up magic on a one to one basis at the tables.

Both pictures above were taken in the middle of a show, onboard.  The mini cube, on the left, was always very popular with passengers, as it was taken to them for, sometimes, a severe checking.
The Kung-Fu cabinet was also popular, as the number of blades put into this one is so many it's unbelievable to the lay audience.
