Following an agreement by the miners to tunnel under the Roman Wall, Ruffus and
Henry
start preparations for their expedition to the land of Harris Tweed in search of the
recipe for Broon Ale.
Unfortunately, some of the gossip has reached the ears of Queen Bodemenia who
immediately sends
for the Great Nerd and she is not amused by what she has heard.

"Believe me your Majesty, when I say you have a unique voice which will be made all the sweeter by a drink that the Roms would love to get their hands on" |
Persuaded by the argument, Queen Bodemenia reluctantly agrees to
the expedition going ahead and the Nerd goes off to inspect the preparations.
The land north of Hadrian's Wall is largely unexplored and who knows what perils
await our heroes as they seek out the holy grail of the Brewing Industry. Given all this
uncertainty the Nerd thinks the journey will provide a golden opportunity to
test out some of his inventions - which were very advanced for that era.
Visitors now have an opportunity to to judge for themselves as Henry models some
of the larger items.

| Just below the tea urn is strapped the world's first mobile phone. (notice the
Antenna which is cleverly attached to Henry's helmet). To make map reading easier the Nerd has provided a multiple lens device which he is thinking of calling, yes you guessed it, a Telescope. It has been suggested that the construction using wooden wheels provided the inspiration for the first Supermarket Shopping trolley which I can quite believe as they too are impossible to steer. However, judging from this picture, the first non-drip Kettle was not qualified success. Nevertheless we should not underestimate the contribution the great Nerd has made to Science and it is a pity that most of his inventions seem to have got lost over the years only to be reinvented during the present and the last century. |

What a dilemma! The equipment will not fit in the hole that leads to
the tunnel under the Wall which opens the way to the land of the Harris Tweed
and the Macs.
