| A
spokesperson has today denied any connection between the
disappearance of the Rt. Hon Jasper H Grimsdale, Minister for Stately Homes, and the
Governments long awaited White Paper on the future of the House of Lords. It was understood that the Minister went missing on a "fact
finding" day trip to Hardup Hall, where he was last seen heading for the loo.
Sir Jeremy Bagshott- Browne ,the owner, was at a loss to explain the MP's disappearance
and he was quick to discount rumours regarding the involvement of an amply proportioned
lady said to haunt the corridors.
The minister was also known to be involved in the proposed
tax on household rubbish which has attracted criticism from some quarters who regard
the exercise as merely an excuse for raising revenue. Housewives in particular
expressed concern about the possibility of Customs and Excise sending round inspectors to
"spot check" their bits and pieces.
However, Marketers in the Black Economy are said to be
furious at the possibility of any delay which will prevent them selling details of
suitable tax free fly tipping sites where the public can dispose of their rubbish
under the cover of darkness. |
