Monumental Inscription in Holmston Road Cemetery, Ayr
All this on one red sandstone monument. Taken verbatim et literatim et punctatim .....
| Erected by Samuel, & Elizabeth STEVENSON, To the memory of Lizzie, their youngest daughter, who died at Ayr, 9th April 1877, aged 17 years. and Maggie, their eldest daughter, died at Dalry Jany. 1856 aged 12 years. Also Margaret HAMILTON, died at Dalry Jany 1865, aged 84 years. Also their daughter Maggie, who died 19th June 1886, aged 28 years. Samuel STEVENSON, died 25th Decr. 1896, aged 77 years. Elizabeth STEVENSON, died at Gourock 22 Decr 1903, aged 83 years. Their son-in-law William SCOTT, died 29 April 1923, aged 81 years. Jane Stevenson SCOTT died 16th. Sept. 1924, aged 80 years.
