Using Experience and Technology to convert Creativity on Paper into High Quality Finished Buildings

BGP McConaghy Architects was formed in January 1999 by the merger of three well established practices, BGP Beardsworth, Gallannaugh & Partners, McConaghy Architects and Rowe Elliott & Partners. The combined practices offer a wide range of skills and expertise together with a rigorous and commited approach to contemporary design. This is reflected in our many built projects for the government, public, private and commercial sectors.

In particular, we have extensive experience of sport, industrial, commercial, conservation and educational projects requiring high levels of involvement and consultation with the clients and the end users. This combined with incisive planning, creative design and a thorough understanding of construction technologies has resulted in buildings which are innovative and efficient whilst being user friendly.

Our approach has produced unusual solutions for the reuse of old buildings and practical, elegant and popular new works. Whatever the project, we always tackle the challenges of a demanding brief with sensitivity, practicality, build ability and above all, the imperative of satisfying the needs and desires of the end users. Coupled with this is an acute awareness of the impact our projects may have of the world beyond the brief, their effect on the street, the public and the environment.
