Herbal Medicine

Expanding the holistic approach...

Herbal Medicine is growing in popularity, with a huge increase in the availability of herbal medicines generally over the last decade.

Herbal Medicines are commonly found in health food shops and provided by more and more companies that previously only sold nutritional supplements.

However, there is very little training given to practitioners generally regarding the usage and the safety of herbal medicines.

To train in herbal medicine takes between two and four years.

Many practitioners in Complementary and Alternative Medicine have no wish to train to become medical herbalists, but still want to make use of popular, effective medicines as part of their holistic approach to their patient care.

This course enables non-herbalists to gain a good working knowledge of herbal medicine, in order that they may use herbal medicines safely and effectively in their own practice.
