DVDs & VIDEO - Preston Titles

Titles listed here are those which are entirely, or at least largely filmed in the Preston area.

TITLE PUBLISHER DESCRIPTION
This is Preston Anbrico / Felixjaz The 80s are back... And they're DREADFUL!  ... (and so are the 90s)
It's like the 80s never went away - Preston the way it used to be, with 87s, 86s, 85s, 47 galore and even a pair f 25s in their final days. For the DMU fans, 104s and 108s are in plentiful supply, as are 101s and some almost new 142s.
As we move into the 90s, we see the move to Intercity livery, with class 31s on Regional Railways services and much more.
The DVD is rounded off with a short selection of footage from the new millennium, bringing us right up-to date.
This is an essential nostalgia trip for all of us who had an interest in Preston Station, and railways in general over the last two decades.

Roaming the North West Rails -
The Very Best of Preston
Peter Cooper

Volume One was filmed between October 2000 and July 2002 and features archive footage of traffic through Preston before major re-organisations abolished regular loco-hauled passenger and mail trains and the variety of locos using the station.

There are over seventy traffic movements, including twenty-three different class 47s, a selection of HSTs, mail trains hauled by 67s and RF and res 90s, 92 hauled mgr trains, a variety of freight trains, rare traffic movements and locos, and the rare appearance of 4472 Flying Scotsman! Preston being the change over for loco hauled XCs from 86s to 47s you will hear some lovely sound effects from departing 47s!

The second DVD continues on from volume one and was filmed between July 2002 and September 2004. With over seventy traffic movements, and a magnificent array of loco hauled trains it features the end of XC loco hauled services, 47/57 drags, Blackpool Club train, 50031 Hood and 40145 on the Northern Lights railtour, postal trains, and Class 47 and 87 celebrity locos

A Busy Day at Preston 2006 Dave's Railway Videos Does pretty much what it says on the tin (OK, box).
Memories of Lancashire Steam   This DVD consists of cine film taken by three railwaymen, often from the footplate, in the grimy final few years of steam.

At present, this DVD isn't available to the public, but I hope to be able to offer it for sale here in the future, with all proceeds going to charity.
