Looking more like the engine room of an ocean liner,
our boiler room retains all the atmosphere of a Bruegel,
coal fired underworld. The two enormous grey cubes are
the oil fired central heating boilers. The blue thing
does the hot water. The whole thing is about 15 feet
below the Shaftesbury Avenue pavement lights.
One day we'll go over to gas...
