Bond Bug 30th Anniversary Rally

Woburn Abbey

13th August 2000 The Photo Evidence

This page will probably take an eternity to down load as its full of pictures on the big 30, but if you took your Bug along to the event you may just catch a glimpse of it. If its blue like Ben's Bug you may see it twice! Below is the Woburn line up at the time we had 39 but the numbers were to swell to 45 by the end of the day.

As the car park at the campsite was full we decided to hold the photo shoot for this years Woburn in the grounds of the park.. We had to be a bit hasty as we succeeded in blocking out another car club.Unfortunately with all that was going on the camera ran out of room on the sim card and so I didn't get to snap the full line up of Bugs.

Below is a load more photos on the event.

This is Matts prize winning Bug leading a trail on the Saturday road run. We started with 20 but after a couple of early breakdowns the numbers stretched to 18.

The dodgy character in the orange shirt is Harvey Brugier.Talking of strange characters a couple turned up at an event last year and have been seen frequently since. There a very odd Twosome who refuse to drink and insist on wearing strange clothing. If you see the couple below stand well clear of the pipe as at has been known to spontaneously combust.

All joking aside the folks in the Bug club make the effort of staging an event well worth while and are always willing to lend a hand if needed.Next year its the Clubs 10th Anniversary but as yet we still have nothing planned, keep your eyes peeled.

Its also very satisfying to see Tom Karen still having a lot of interest in his creation, he wrote me a letter after the event saying how much he enjoyed it.I have attached a photo of  him chatting to Dave Summerson, this years Tom Karen Trophy winner for the best Bug.
