This Description of the treatment of Breast Cancer following Surgery is my history.

In 1995 I had a Right Radical Mastectomy with removal of 22 Axillary glands followed by

(1) Chemotherapy of 6 Sessions with various side-effects.

(2) Radiotherapy 4 weeks treatment which resulted in the develoment of LYMPHOEDEMA of the Right arm.

N.B. All patients should be made aware of the possibilities of Lymphoedema prior to Breast Surgery & discuss it with all concerned with their care.

The latest information I have is that Guy's Hospital in London & the U.S.A. are using Electrodes prior to Biopsy of the Breast as a Diagnostic tool which looks hopeful in early diagnoses. (contact the Hospital Onocology unit direct)

In the U.K. there is none available on the N.H.S. There is only C.P.T.(Compression Physical Therapy) & M. L. D ( Manual Lymphatic Drainage)

Pumps (Floutron)

Benzo-Pyrones are available in Europe, U.S.A. & Australia.

I have obtained "ENDOTELON" 150mgs twice daily from a Private Medical Practicioner in France at the cost of £50 a month.
