AGM Draft Minutes

Draft Minutes of the AGM 1-9-09: approved
Matters arising: none
Officers’ reports:
Chairman: 2 disputes hopefully none this year. Stephen Banks asked if the LMC minutes were available to confirm the agreement over the Enfield/Barking dispute had been minuted. The minutes for this meeting were not present but the Secretary agreed to send him a copy.
Secretary: accepted (sent with AGM agenda)
Treasurer: Presented. The League held £347.72 in the current account and £507.28 in the reserve account. Some discussion around the accounts they were accepted
Grader (attached): accepted (sent out with AGM agenda). Grader announced her resignation.
Presentation of Trophies: The Callaghan Board and the Lawrance Cup were presented, the remaining trophies were not present. Enfield explained that the Lawrance Tankard is currently missing but is expected to be found now that Enfield have a description.
Proposed Constitution and Rule changes: The Secretary explained the background. After discussion and with minor amendments all were accepted. Philip Staniland proposed an introduction of Fischer timings to be used were clubs use digital clocks but following discussion this proposal was defeated.
Proposal from Enfield CC to introduce an U150 Division: Enfield and Chingford will contest a trial division over 4 boards.

Fees and subscriptions 10-11: The Treasurer proposed no changes and the meeting agreed that the late fee fine should rise to £1.50.
Composition of the League 10-11: Following discussion over the promotion and relegation arising from the 2009-10 season the meeting decided that this should stand.
A Division – Barking I; Barking II; Barnet Elizabethans I; Chingford I; Wanstead I; Wood Green
B Division – Barnet Elizabethans II; Chingford II; Enfield I; Enfield II; Roding & Loughton; Wanstead II
Lawrance and Finchley Cup draws: The draws were made for the first round matches for both competition.
Any other business: The Secretary reminded the meeting of the 51st Capes Trophy 24-9-10; Mike Jones proposed a vote of thanks for the Secretary in the rule amendments and John White added to this the website.
