The company - exporter has opened a new plant for the manufacture of Stannic Chloride
(Tin Tetrachloride - SnCl4) in USA.

The process involves the direct chlorination of Tin metal by Chlorine gas in the presence of Stannic Chloride.
Stannic Chloride is a liquid with a high specific gravity that fumes in air and reacts with
moisture in the air to form solid hydrates and Hydrogen Chloride.

STANNIC CHLORIDE ANHYDROUS (SnCl4), Technical Specification:

The process is exothermic so circulation of cooling water is required to maximise the production efficiency. However, the process does not operate under pressure and the rate of reaction is easily controlled – and can quickly be shut down – by regulating the flow of Chlorine.

A simple but effective caustic scrubber system ensures that there is no air emission of fumes.

Stannic Chloride (SC -Tin Tetrachloride - SnCl4) is used in the following industries:

a) The glass bottle and container industry:
SC as a coating agent for bottles and containers

b) The architectural glass industry:
SC is used in the production of low-emissivity flat glass

c) The pharmaceuticals industry:
SC as an intermediate in the production of antibiotics

d) The chemical industry
SC as a raw materials in the production of organotin compounds which
find application as catalysts and PVC stabilizers

e) The rubber and elastomers industry:
SC is used in vulcanization and catalysis applications.

The plant has the capacity to produce up to 3500 tons of high purity Stannic Chloride per year.

Minimum lot for purchasing - 1 ton in the special hermetic container.
The exporter can also supply Stannic Chloride in hermetic 250kg drums in 20'' containers (18MT)
or in special hermetic tanks (20MT).
