Our subsidiary,CB Mosnarbank provides a full range of banking services including foreign currency and rouble accounts, domestic and international payments, import/export “passports ” and currency conversion.In the aftermath of the August 1998 financial crisis,CB Mosnarbank was one of the few Russian banks that continued to carry out banking business in a normal fashion.

CONFIRMATION OF RUSSIAN BANK LETTERS OF CREDIT

If your Russian buyer offers a Letter of Credit from a Russian bank as security for its payment obligations under your export contract, MNB will consider providing its confirmation to the Letter of Credit subject to availability of credit limits for the Russian bank.

ADVISING ON LETTERS OF CREDIT

Due to MNB ’s large network of correspondent banks in Russia,we are well placed to act as an advising bank for Letters of Credit to and from your Russian clients.

ADVANCE PAYMENT GUARANTEES

Russian currency regulations set out certain requirements for Russian importers making advance payments under an import contract.One way to meet these requirements is for the foreign supplier to provide an advance payment guarantee from certain types of foreign banks designated by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.We are included on this list,so if you do not wish to tie up your existing credit lines,we would be pleased to consider your request to issue an advance payment guarantee in favour of the Russian importer.
