kind international trade and economic mission (ITEM) “Business Meetings on Volga River”.

This major event is organised by the Russian Ministry of Economic Development and Trade,
Non-commercial partnership organisation “Economic Development Agency”
and few other commercial and financial institutions of Povolzhsky District of the Russian Federation

Date: 11 – 17 September 2005

Route: Samara – Ulyanovsk – Kazan – Cheboksary – Nizhni Novgorod – Samara

Venue: The comfortable four-deck motor ship “Fedor Shalyapin”

September 11 – Samara City (capital of Samara Region)

- Departure from Samara River Port

- Ceremonial opening of the mission and Official Reception on behalf of ITEM organisers.

September 12 – Ulyanovsk region

- Arrival to Ulyanovsk City
- A formal meeting with the Heads of the region
- Professional visits to a local enterprises
- Ulyanovsk City Tour
- Informal private meetings between the mission’s participants and representatives of Ulyanovsk region’s business circles.

September 13 – Kazan (capital of Tatarstan Republic)

- Arrival to Kazan City
- A formal meeting with the Heads of the Republic
- Professional visits to a local enterprises
- Kazan City Tour
- Informal private meetings with the representatives of local business circles.

September 14 – Cheboksary (capital of Chuvash Republic)


- Arrival to Cheboksary
- A formal meeting with the Heads of the Republic
- Professional visits to a local enterprise
- Chuvash City Tour
- Informal private meetings with the representatives of local business circles.

September 15 – Nizhniy Novgorod (capital of Povolzhsky District)


- Arrival to Nizhniy Novgorod City
- A formal meeting with the Heads of the region
- Participation in the all-Russian fair «United Russia».
- Nizhniy Novgorod City Tour
- Informal private meetings with the representatives of local business circles.

September 16 - aboard the ship


- Presentation of Samara region
- Congress on Financial and Banking Services
- Closing of ITEM “Business Meetings on Volga River”.
- Final banquet on behalf of Congress of Bankers organisers.

September 17

- Arrival to Samara River Port
