The Tornado in the thumbnail is B56 from RAF Cottesmore in Leicestershire. RAF Cottesmore was a Tri-National station where they trained German, Italian and British aircrew to fly and navigate the Panavia Tornado. I spent a large chunk of my RAF career there and have actualy worked on B56 numerous times. Earlier this year, 1999, RAF Cottersmore became a Harrier station and is part of RAF Wittering. TTTE has moved to Scotland and the German and the Italians have enough trained crews to form their own training units.
The Tornado GR1 is a two-seat multi-role combat aircraft. It is a tri-national plane, built by: British Aerospace, Messerschmitt-Bolkow-Blohm and Aeritalia. I'm not going to bore you all to death with all the "techy" stuff but just show you some more photos and then you can get back to the Saudi Arabian adventure :o)
