The Caduceus is a symbol of the limitless, latent potential within man. The central staff represents the subtle energy channel in the spine and the serpents the yin and yang aspects of the Universal power, also known as Kundalini or Shakti. This energy rises from the base of the spine, up through evolving states of being and consciousness, towards the Crown chakra and liberation whereupon the individual knows themselves to be one with the universal order and its power, wisdom and unconditional love.
Remnants of this understanding lie within its use in many contexts including science and medicine and the continuing search for knowledge, excellence and freedom through transcendence of ones accepted limitations.
