About Us
Comcount was founded in 1986 by
current M.D. Martin Brewer and Technical Director Paul Atterbury. Both
Martin and Paul had many years of experience in the packaging industry
and Comcount was formed with the aim of producing machines in an
engineering led environment.
Initially the company produced
weighing machines for the Japanese fastener industry, particularly
highly accurate machines for packing micro screws, and in conjunction
with our agent became the most successful supplier in this market with
over 350 installations to date. Following the Japanese recession in
the early 90s we expanded into the U.K. and European markets and now
with over 800 installations in countries from Argentina to Australia
can be considered truly global. From a base of simple weighing
machines our product portfolio has increased enormously to include
counting, and subsequently combined counting and weighing systems,
together with all the ancilliary equipment required to produce
complete turnkey packaging systems. Our control systems have developed
from early analogue systems through custom microprocessor systems to
the current industry standard Siemens systems with Touch Screen
displays.

Comcount is based
in two modern factory units in Worcester in the heart of England
within 5 minutes of the M5 motorway, providing excellent access to
and from the motorway network. Please visit the

Our design office uses industry
standard AutoCAD software to ensure that all equipment meets with
customers expectations. Inevitably each customers requirements are
different and our many years of experience help to avoid the
pitfalls commonly encountered. |
 |
We have full mechanical
engineering facilities on site including machining and welding
operated by a highly skilled workforce. Hard experience has shown
that the ability to prototype and modify in house as well as control
our own production pays dividends for us as well as our customers. |
 |
All our electrical control
systems are designed and built in house. We also write all our own
software. Initially using our own microprocessor systems we have now
migrated to Siemens controls. As a result customers can be assured
that expert advice is always available, spare parts immediately
despatched and problems resolved without waiting for third parties. |
Our overall philosophy is to provide
expert advice in choosing the correct system, ensure that the system
meets customers expectations and offer helpful and immediate backup
when the system is in operation.
