Use Your Imagination - Traditional Music Event

A traditional music event in Millennium Court Arts Centre was the culmination of a four months project run by Community Network Portadown. The workshops were held in Millington Primary School, St John the Baptist Primary School, Bannside Development Centre and Seagoe Youth Group and the tutor was Anne Lyttle.

The concert brought together 70 participants from 8 to 48 years of age in a performance of traditional music with poetry & prose written by the groups.

Tutor Anne Lyttle was joined on the night by her band “The Lyttle Family” who have performed both here and across America.

A capacity audience of family, friends and invited guests attended the concert followed by supper and presentation of certificates.

The workshops and final concert were funded by Community Network Portadown with a grant from The Community Foundation (NIVT) under their “Use Your Imagination” awards.
