Torquay United—a name to remember!

Our club was opened in October 1994.  We have 4 rinks laid by Greengage and has an average running speed of approximately 17 seconds.  The club has a bar and is professionally staffed.  We are situated adjoining the football club and can be found by following the signs to either venue from all main roads.

We have a membership of approximately 320 of which we have about 120 ladies.  We are lucky enough to have several past and present internationals playing for us.  We have John Evans, of John Evans Bowls Tours, Danny Denison, Griff Sanders.  Recently joined is John Wickham (from Teignbridge) and on the ladies side Cheryl Northall.

We are fortunate to host three major qualifying tournaments.  They are the Professional Players Association, Warner’s Champion of Champions and the English Players Association.  Further information on these three events will appear on our site when available.
